Many of our
outreach activities
give parishioners
an opportunity
to help those in need.

whatever you did
for one of these
least brothers of mine,
you did for me."

KATERI’S KITCHEN

Kateri’s Kitchen is open every Saturday from 10-12 to serve area families in need of assistance.  Parishioners help to “stock our shelves” by donating food items.  Donations may be placed in the basket at the offertory part of the Mass, or they can leave them in the ushers’ room at the entrance to the church.

 GIVING TREE

During Advent, parishioners may take a tag from the Giving Tree.  These tags are requests for specific gifts for needy children and adults at the Pernet Family Health Service.  Parishioners purchase these gifts and place them under the tree prior to Christmas.

CHRISTMAS GIFTS

Parishioners purchase gifts for patients at Worcester State Hospital.   This activity originated with the parish women’s club.

SOUPER BOWL OF CARING

The youth of our parish “exercise their faith” by holding soup pots at church doors on Souper Bowl Sunday, the day of the Super Bowl.  They join young people in churches across the country to collect money for those who are hungry and hurting.  All of the money collected is donated to a charity selected by the participants.  None of the money is sent to Souper Bowl headquarters.

EASTER FOOD BASKETS

The youth of our parish “exercise their faith” by shopping for groceries, preparing boxes of food for delivery, and bringing the food boxes to needy families.  These are distributed through the Green Island Neighborhood Center in Worcester.

St. VINCENT de PAUL

Our St. Vincent de Paul organization accepts donations which are then part of the help the parish provides for people in need who request it.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

Although parishioners are not, as such, the organizers of this activity, A.A. holds weekly meetings every Wednesday in our parish hall.  All are welcome.

PARTNERS IN CHARITY (BISHOP’S FUND)

Our parishioners have consistently been generous in this annual fund-raiser for education and charitable works in the diocese.
